Master Suite in existing garage in Chesterfield
When we met with the owners their original idea was to add a master suite to the right side of the home.
To us there were many reasons the addition should not be built there. When we started investigating we found the septic tank was in the
area where the new master was to be built.
Realizing the cost to move the septic plus build the addition would have pushed the cost well above their target price.
We came up with the concept of using the existing garage with a small addition to the front for their new master suite. When we first started the owners had never considered
the garage as their new bedroom. When we finished the job they told me they could never imagine the bedroom being in the garage and now they
can not remember it being anything except a master suite.
We also designed a 3 car detached garage that was built to the left front of the new master suite.
